Why should we go to church?

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The Vision of The Door Christian Fellowship Church:

Our vision for Addison and the surrounding Chicago-land suburbs is to be a light for Jesus Christ and to proclaim the good news that HE is risen! We are a Pentecostal church that worships the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. The will of God is that no one should perish but to see lives transformed, disciples made, and destinies fulfilled.

Conversion

Conversion: We preach and testify for people to make Jesus the Lord of their lives and to escape the judgment of hell. Peter, one of Jesus' disciples, preached in The Book of Acts Ch.3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."  The true distinction of a Christian is becoming converted, born-again, to a new creation in Christ Jesus.

The Local Church

The Local Church: The local church was established by God, as the assembly of believers, to gather in the name of Jesus and be made clean as the bride of Christ.  The local church brings accountability, edification, and love to a believer's life.  Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."  The Rock foundation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Evangelism

Evangelism: We evangelize to bring the gospel, the good news of Peace, outside of the four walls of our church building into the community.  Romans 10:14 says "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?  And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?  And how shall they hear without a preacher?  "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring tidings of good things!"
